Hi everyone
Here is another mixed bag for you.   I hope you find at least some of it useful to you.

Small Charities Treasure Hunt
We ask you to list us as one of your favourite charities on eBay (Once we are listed as a person’s favourite charity on eBay, this will give them the option to make a donation to us whenever they purchase something).  Anybody with an eBay account can list us as a favourite charity and a person can have as many favourite charities as they want.  It is easy to sign up - you simply need to select us (Fibromyalgia Support for Surrey and Sussex) as a favourite charity in the donation section of your ‘My eBay’ account and donations are optional, so there really is no reason not to.
This is a fantastic, simple way of raising funds for our charity and the more support we can attract, the better the results, not just in the Treasure Hunt, but also afterwards.
We only need 10 supporters to list us as a favourite charity to be able to progress to the next stage of the Treasure Hunt, but we encourage as many people as possible to sign up as there are eBay grants of £1000 up for grabs to the charities who sign up the most new supporters before Small Charity Week in June. To ensure that we can continue to the next stage of the Treasure Hunt we need 10 new followers signed up by 15th April – so get going!
We will be sending you your next Treasure Hunt clue by Easter, which is sure to come round very quickly for all of us!
For more details about how you go about selecting us as a favourite charity, check out eBay for Charityhttp://donations.ebay.co.uk/donation/GW4CController?ACTION=BrowseAction&SUB_ACTION=GetSearchForNP
Please ask your friends and relations to register too.  Thank you for your support.

When a Negative is Positive - Goodnighties Recovery Sleepwear
Good health and quality sleep go hand in hand - you can't have one without the other. But exactly how to get that quality sleep is a challenge.
One company has developed a new product they believe will help meet that challenge - Goodnighties® Recovery Sleepwear. Goodnighties is a unique new type of sleepwear for women that promotes a deeper, more restorative sleep.
The secret to Goodnighties lies in the special IonX® fabric from which they're made. IonX is a patented process that builds calming negative ions into the structure of the fabric.

Do you suffer from hot flushes?
Who gets them?  Questions from Rebecca Richmond who gives her answers.
Research shows that up to 85% of women approaching menopause may experience hot flushes. As with many things the duration, intensity, and frequency can vary greatly.

 28 March 2011
“In spite of the fact that the harsh new work capability assessment (WCA), the medical test for employment and support allowance (ESA), became law today, there is still a chance of getting it cancelled.
But it does depend on you urgently attempting to persuade your MP to get off their . . .  seat and do something useful before they go off on their Easter holidays next week.”

Laughter, music may lower blood pressure
Listening to your favorite tunes or funny jokes could lower your blood pressure, perhaps even as much as cutting salt from your diet or dropping 10 pounds, according to the preliminary results of a small study presented Friday at American Heart Association meeting in Atlanta.

Social care funding and the NHS
An impending crisis?   The impact of funding cuts to the NHS has been widely reported and discussed, but less attention has been given to social care – and, most importantly, to the inter-relationships of health and social care. . . . . . . . .

I hope to be able to send out the eNews on Friday next week before I depart for the FMS Conference at Bracklesham Bay because I won’t have access to the internet all weekend.  Don’t forget that eNews is now placed on a Blog http://fmssas.enews.blogspot.com  You can become a “Follower” and you can post Comments.  Click on “comments” at the end of each Letter.  I look forward to your input.
All good wishes
Stella

N.B. I would like to point out to you all that the information in my eNewsletters does not necessarily infer endorsement by the charity Fibromyalgia Support for Surrey & Sussex.   Any advice or recommendation of a medical or legal nature must always be discussed with a qualified professional. The charity cannot be held responsible for omissions and/or errors.
Sites I refer you to are for information only.  They might conflict in their opinions, they might not even be medically sound, but I merely offer them for you to peruse and make your own judgements, accept or reject as you will.  Only by reading widely can we get an overall picture of fibromyalgia syndrome and how we can deal with its symptoms, learn to cope with them and still have a life.
I also include various awareness and local issues as well as general health considerations.
